Professional Development and Supervision

Supervision

We have several clinicians who are Psychology Board-approved supervisors, so have capacity for principal and secondary supervision of provisional psychologists and psychologists undertaking the Clinical Registrar program. Our Principal Clinical Psychologist and Senior Psychologist also supervise fully registered psychologists and professionals in related professions.

Group Supervision for Provisional Psychologists

Alana, our Principal Clinical Psychologist and Clinic Director, runs fortnightly group supervision for provisional psychologists, with the focus being on case presentations, case formulation, treatment planning, and learning how to write case studies for the Psychology Board.

Supervision will involve rotating case presentations, with a guide to presenting the case, and the focus being on formulation and developing an appropriate treatment plan. Supervisees will link these concepts to their case studies for the Board, and spend time in sessions discussing how to write case studies.

This group is capped at a maximum of five participants, and is ideally suited to provisional psychologists doing the 5+1 and 4+2 internship. It is advantageous to have some relevant prior experience, such as a fifth year internship, or to have current cases to be able to bring to supervision.

Please contact Alana on 1300 552 686 or info@aurorapsychology.com.au if you are interested in joining this group.
